How long does it usually take for a person to get addicted to vicodin?

I have been taking vicodin for two weeks now and I think I may be addicted to it. What can I do to help myself and how can my doctor help me? serious answers only please. Thank You!

Chosen Answer:

I’m a nurse. I would talk to the doctor about it. Your’e not far along as many people. You can simply chose not to take them. Most people take them for a very long time and later realize they have a problem. I think you are fine. It took you only two weeks and you realized, hey this could be a problem. My advice is to discontinue the use of it . You will later noticed that you caught the problem right before the addiction happened. Your’e fine, after all this isn’t what you wnat to do and your’e not in denial, that’s great. Be strong during this time, you can do it, I know you can.

How long does Vicodin stay in your system, and will it show up in a urine test four days after consumption?

I have a drug test coming up on Wednesday, and I have taken A few Vicodin to control some kidney-stone pain. I have a prescription for it, but I only use the stuff when I have to, and the script is from December. Will I pass?

Chosen Answer:

YES! Now you don’t have to worry this weekend. You can PASS if the prescription is >90 days old.
The exception to that is IF, on the medicine bottle, the dispensing direction are labeled “PRN” (as needed).
If yes, then you can Vicodin in your urine for one year from the date you filled the prescription.
If you have just recently “binged” on Vicodin or if you took one last night, it does not matter. The lab where your urine is tested, does not concern about “if you take alot or just a little”. You can binge or take just one. But, when it gives a reactive result on your drug test, then….

Positive is Positive.
No “Really Really Positive” and no “Well, it’s kind of positive” I’m not sure, it’s really close.
So…Not all things are good in moderation.
I hope your kidney-stone pain has subsided.

What is the best pain relief I can without a prescription in Australia?

What is the best pain relief I can without a prescription in Australia? I’m suffering some pain but I don’t think it’s worth going to the doctors for, but Panadol is not working – is there anything significantly stronger I can buy without a prescription?

Chosen Answer:

Why don’t you ask your local pharmacist – they will know.
