How soon after having 3 beers can I take Vicodin for back pain?
Posted by Admin in Vicodin Discussion on May 9, 2012
I had 3 beers while BBQing tonight and am considering taking a Vicodin for back and shoulder pain. All 3 beers were consumed in about a 3 hour time period, I finished my last beer about 2 hours ago, and I don’t feel any effects/drunkenness from the beer that I’ve consumed because I was eating the whole time. I DO NOT plan on drinking anymore alcohol tonight. Will taking a Vicodin now be OK?
Chosen Answer:
Take your Vicodin. Just expect to be really woozy. And only take ONE.
There’s no reason you should be in pain, but don’t make a habit of drinking and popping pills, okay? Today is an exception.

How soon can someone become addicted to Vicodin?
Posted by Admin in Vicodin Discussion on April 28, 2012
I’ve been taking Vicodin for three days for an injury to my face/nose. I’m still in pain, but I’m afraid to take too much Vicodin and become addicted. The doctor gave me 30 pills and I have about 15 left. Can a person become addicted that soon? Should I ask for something else for pain? Motrin 800 doesn’t help with the pain yet.
Actually, I have 12 pills left, so I’ve taken 18 pills in 3 days.
Chosen Answer:
Okay, calm down. In order to develop a dependence for an opiate drug you would have to be taking it constantly in high doses for at least a month. You can most certainly finish that entire bottle, whether it be in 3 days, or in a month and you will be fine. Vicodin is not a strong form of hydrocodone and will not make you become addicted fast. I am an X addict and trust me it takes many many more pills and much more time. You are safe.

How long to become addicted to vicodin?
Posted by Admin in Vicodin Discussion on April 25, 2012
I indulge two vicodin ES pills at once for depression. I wait at least a week, then take another two pills whenever I experience despair. Would it possible to become physically addicted taking them this seldom? I’ve only heard experiences of people taking them daily and becoming addicted. Also, is taking two vicodin ES at once safe as far as acetaminophen goes?
Chosen Answer:
See a doctor and get his advice. I hope this is a doctor’s prescription and if so ask him. If not, stop taking the drug and see one. It’s too dangerous to use drugs like that without medical advice.

When I take Vicodin, I get a feeling that relieves my social anxiety and my constant tiredness?
Posted by Admin in Vicodin Discussion on April 20, 2012
And mild to moderate pain. However, before I become addicted, I have stopped taking them. I am looking for something over-the-counter that can help me relieve some of those problems, mainly the sad. Is there anything similar to Vicodin that is not as bad? A vitamin perhaps? Thanks.
Chosen Answer:
Well..that’s the down side to taking opiates for many people…they make us feel so good, but at the same time they are so dangerous. It’s a no win situation either way,and no there really isn’t a medication that will give you the same effect that Vicodin does. It’s the opiate in the Vicodin that is making you feel this way…relaxing, mellow and for many people(including myself) it can give an energetic feeling. The best thing that you can do is stop taking the Vicodin…PERIOD!!! I’m not to sure about any over-the-counter medications/vitamins you can take, but nothing will give you the same effect the Vicodin does.Just steer clear of it….Good luck to you.

Vicodin??………..?

i have a prescription to take 1 500mg vicodin every six hours or so as needed, what would happen if I took 2 rather then the one?
Chosen Answer:
I would stick to taking 1. But if your pain has not gone away after 4 hours then it is safe enough to take another. But after taking 2 in 4 hours, you should not need more for another 6 hours.

How long to reduce tolerance to Vicodin?
Posted by Admin in Vicodin Discussion on March 29, 2012
Been taking vicodin for 6 months (took T3 before for about a year) I’m building up a tolerance now and just wondering how long it takes to lose the tolerance. I can suck up the pain for a few days i think. I really dont want to start taking more and more vicodin or stronger opiates if i dont have to.
Chosen Answer:
I imagine it varies by person, but I was on vicoden for an injury many years ago and when I went back on it for an injury last year I felt like my tolerance hadnt gone down at all….
Best of luck! Don’t let them talk you into taking oxycontin whatever you do. Its highly addictive and very hard to “come down” off of
