Is taking vicodin before a test unethical?

My boyfriend is planning to take vicodin to help him focus on an important entrance exam for grad school.
I’ve told him I don’t think it’s right and unfair, but he’s convinced it’s as innocent as drinking coffee.

Is he addicted to vicodin? If not, that is a really,really stupid thing to do. It is a depressant. You may feel good, but you brain does not work as well. Certainly not ” innocent” , and a dangerous practice to start.

I took 40mg of adderall 3 hours ago and want to take 300mg of Vicodin. How long should I wait?

If the adderall is long-acting you can take it now. if it is short acting it is good to wait a few hours after to take a pain meciation. One drug increases your heart rate and the other can decrease your heart rate.If you have never taken vicodin before it is good to wait till other medication is out of your system,in case of an allergic reaction.
Did the doctor know you were on the adderall when he ordered the pain medicine? Also you can contact your local pharmacist and ask him. I have taken meds for ADHD and pain at the same time and it was fine . As long as you have no reactions to either one (allergic reactions)it is o.k.

I put the pills in my own personal pill place and I lost the name for it I know it was a hydro something used to substitute vicodin. What could it be?

What country has legal over the counter vicodin for sale?

I have been told in Mexico they are sold at stores, Canada has them without a prescription but I have looked it up and it isn’t true-you always need a doctor visit and prescription, like in the U.S. Where can I go to get vicodin for my uncle without needing a prescription? I don’t mean I am willing to wander the streets asking strangers for pills.I want to know which country has them available on the shelf without a prescription,like aspirin or motrin.I don’t want to order them from the internet here either.There has to be a country who offers them without a doctor. Amsterdam?Holland? Serious answers only please. Thank you.
I didn’t ask for moral advice. If I wanted anyone’s opinion about whether I should be getting them or not I would have asked for it. Please leave your personal feelings out of your answers. I was told that Mexico did sell most prescription drugs over-the-counter–the trick was getting them back into the US without getting busted for not having a prescription. Where did you read that Mexico is not selling OTC any more?

And can Vicodin be inserted with a needle? Like crushed or something?

the withdrawals from vicodin are not fun at all! i get hot and cold flashes, extreme mood swings, depression, and other uncool stuff like that.
vicodin can be injected if it is crushed and then boiled like heroin is. but i don’t suggest it, just take it in the pill form. it can be snorted in powder form and it hurts, but it’s up to you. i hope that this helps!

Vicodin is a powerful narcotic that is extremely addictive. It’s dangerous if it isn’t taken as prescribed.
People who need the drug for pain get pain relief.
People who take the drug recreationally get a high from it.
The problem with illegal use/abuse is that it has made the medical community reluctant to prescribe it so people who may really need it for pain relief aren’t getting it.
Addendum: The generic name for the narcotic ingredient in Vicodin is hydrocodone, not oxycodone. Oxycodone is the generic name for the narcotic ingredient in Percocet/Percodan and Endocet. The time released type of oxycodone is known as OxyContin.

I have been taking vicodin for two weeks now and I think I may be addicted to it. What can I do to help myself and how can my doctor help me? serious answers only please. Thank You!

I’m a nurse. I would talk to the doctor about it. Your’e not far along as many people. You can simply chose not to take them. Most people take them for a very long time and later realize they have a problem. I think you are fine. It took you only two weeks and you realized, hey this could be a problem. My advice is to discontinue the use of it . You will later noticed that you caught the problem right before the addiction happened. Your’e fine, after all this isn’t what you wnat to do and your’e not in denial, that’s great. Be strong during this time, you can do it, I know you can.
